A new survey has revealed the kindest cities across Britain and which have the most time for charity and helping others – with young people coming out on top
A new survey has revealed which Brits give most of their time to charity – with young people under 25 leading the way.
The research by Oxfam reveals we are a generous nation â with more than two in five (42%) respondents reporting they have volunteered their time to charity in some way.
Of this number, a quarter (25%) have volunteered in a charity shop.
The average amount of hours which people volunteer within the top cities, per year, is: Belfast (216 hours), Edinburgh (285 hours), Glasgow (279 hours) and Plymouth (288 hours).
