A new Russian high speed underwater kamikaze drone should be tested by the UK causing a nuclear tidal wave, said a pro Vladimir Putin TV pundit.
And a spy and sabotage submarine should also be used to cut the UK’s undersea internet and telephone cables, said Vladimir Solovyov.
Putin has spoken before about the “apocalypse” Poseidon which he sees as a key to his ultimate military supremacy over the West. A thermonuclear torpedo, it reportedly approaches targets at 125 mph deep below the sea surface.
It is supposed to explode causing “extremely high doses of radiation”. Yet the top-secret weapon – with a 100 megaton warhead – is still undergoing tests and it is far from clear the technology is working.
