The latest series of I’m a Celebrity begins this weekend, with musician Boy George among the star-studded lineup currently preparing in Australia. The 61-year-old is undoubtedly excited to be in the jungle after spending years as a fan, but the star admitted his weaknesses could get the best of him. Boy George has been a longtime fan of the show, but that the decision to join still didn’t come easy. He told ITV: ‘I am in a moment of rediscovery of who I am as a person, artist and older man and I feel like I do make a lot of effort to be in pop culture. ‘I am bored of being iconic in the corner and if you want to compete in the world then being part of telly is part of that.’I’m A Celebrity is arguably one of the hardest television challenges George could’ve chosen to do, but he does not believe the competition will be too difficult. He said: ‘I will be 1000 percent asking them what star sign they are. Star signs give you an idea of who people might be.’But I am going to really try not to get wound up in camp.’Interestingly, one aspect of I’m a Celeb George is definitely looking forward to is the wildlife.
