Mr Bolsonaro said that he welcomed "peaceful demonstrations", but added that protesters should not impede the population's freedom of movement - a strategy he classified as being "a Left-wing method." "These popular movements are the result of indignation and a feeling of injustice over how the electoral process was carried out," he said. Though failing to concede the election, Mr Bolsonaro did not directly contest the results of Sunday's vote. "I've always been labelled as antidemocratic," he said. "But unlike my accusers I've always remained within the four lines of the constitution." For at least one year, Mr Bolsonaro has sought to cast doubt about the integrity of Brazil's electoral system, claiming without proof that the country's electronic ballot boxes are susceptible to fraud. From Monday night to Tuesday morning, access to São Paulo's international airport was blocked, causing the cancellation of at least 25 flights. Videos on social media showed officers of the pro-Bolsonaro federal highway police collaborating with the protestors, facilitating the roadblocks.
