When married couple Darren and Jessica Rowlands took their kids on a sailing holiday in Greece in 2008, they got more than family time and a suntan; they also returned home with a brand new business in the offing.
“We bumped into this larger-than-life British guy called Dominic Findlow, who was on the same flotilla holiday … Over a few beers, he told me about this new product he had developed and how he needed someone to help him sell it,” said Darren Rowlands, who is now 57 and chief executive of Sonihull, the business that new product spawned.
