The late summer of 2024 may seem a long way off, but for Sir Ben Ainslie and his Ineos Britannia team the 37th America’s Cup regatta in Barcelona is coming at them all too quickly.
This will be the defining moment of Ainslie’s America’s Cup career as he seeks to become the first British skipper, at the head of a British team, to win the oldest trophy in international sport, something British sailors in British boats have failed to achieve since they lost the first Cup race in 1851.
