Belfast Primark: How the Bank Buildings were brought back to life

The Bank Buildings have been brought back to life four years after a major fire almost destroyed the premises in 2018.

The historic building, which houses retail chain Primark, welcomed shoppers to the reopening on Tuesday.

It follows a £100m rebuild investment by Primark, leading to the creation of 300 jobs.

Architect Stephen Douglas said it was a “privilege” to help restore the building for a new generation.
