On average, one person is killed by bears each year but so far this year there have already been two. Amie Adamson, a 47-year-old runner from Derby, Kansas, was the victim of a grizzly bear attack two weekends ago. Her badly mauled body was discovered on the scenic Buttermilk Trail just west of West Yellowstone, Montana. Her mother, Janet Adamson, posted to Facebook: "This is probably the hardest thing I've ever had to put on here. Yesterday morning we lost our beautiful, smart, talented daughter, Amie. Our first born." The post has since been taken down. Ms Adamson told Good Morning America: "Every morning, she'd get up early, and she'd walk, hike or run. "Running through that beauty of Yellowstone - she was almost in heaven. She died doing what she loved." A relative of the woman wrote in a Facebook post: "Just learned that my cousin Tom Adamson and Janet lost their oldest daughter yesterday morning.
