The former boss of Bulb, the energy company bailed out by the taxpayer to the tune of £246 million, is launching a new business.
Hayden Wood’s start-up Beams claims to help customers to renovate their homes in a simpler and greener way. It employs ten people in east London and raised a seed round late last year from Giant Ventures and Firstminute Capital.
Beams helps customers renovating their homes to work within their budget, plan and design their project and streamline the construction process. The idea is to make the renovation easier and more energy efficient. Team members include Natasha Briefel, chief marketing officer, formerly at Badoo, the dating app, and Phill Burton the chief operating officer, who was previously in the same role
