Sir Cliff Richard is to star in a television Christmas special on the BBC amid a thawing of tensions after the singer sued the broadcaster for its coverage of the police raid on his home.
The 82-year-old singer, who received £2 million in damages from the BBC, will front Cliff at Christmas in December on BBC2. He will perform his Christmas classics, new songs and hits in an hour-long show. He will also chat to the radio presenter Sara Cox.
He said: “I remember, as though it was yesterday, the three series (each containing 13 shows) that I did for the BBC in the Seventies. I loved every moment of them.
