THE BBC has confirmed that Waterloo Road will be back for two more seasons after it was revamped this year.
The popular school based drama series will have a further two editions on top of the third rebooted series which has already been filmed.
In total, it means fans can look forward to a further 24 episodes of the show over three series – all expected to arrive over the next 18 months,
The new series’ will begin filming in Greater Manchester later this year with further cast announcements expected from programme makers in due course.
Waterloo Road has performed well, despite some backlash from fans, and is the third most watched programme on BBC iPlayer for viewers between the ages of 16-34 – just behind critically acclaimed drama Happy Valley and soap EastEnders.
