BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty and Ben Thompson struggled to hold it together as they watched a clip on Friday show, leaving the presenter ‘sweating’
BBC Breakfast, host Ben Thompson expressed concern for his co-host Naga Munchetty as she struggled to contain her laughter while discussing the day’s news.
Munchetty was seen wiping tears from her eyes, unable to suppress her amusement after watching a viral clip of a man being struck by a pigeon. Both Naga and Ben found it difficult to maintain their composure, repeatedly laughing as they revisited the hilarious video. Before unveiling the clip, Naga teased: “This is the most watched video on the BBC News website this morning, it is tickling Ben. No, in fact, it has tickled all of us, here you go.”
The hosts began to chuckle even before Ben narrated the incident, saying: “So a pigeon flew into a man’s head as he went to the shops. “I don’t know why this amuses me so much. Neither pigeon nor man were hurt, we should be really clear.” He continued, “This is Michael Spears, he’s from Nottingham. He described it as being like being sacked full pelt with a feathered pillow.”
Naga couldn’t hide her mirth as she burst into laughter, with Ben adding: “It was too good not to share.” “I am sweating,” Munchetty confessed to her co-host, wiping away tears of laughter. She added: “When you watch it’s because you know you’re not supposed to laugh and then it makes you laugh even more.”
