The Supervet’s Noel Fitzpatrick left BBC Breakfast viewers in tears as the Channel 4 star opened up about his painful childhood, admitting he’d been “running from that spectre all my life”

BBC Breakfast viewers were left in tears after Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick revealed he’d been sexually abused as child.

In a heart-breaking new interview the Channel 4 star, 54, said the abuse had been “prolonged” as he opened up about the experience, leaving fans heartbroken.

Speaking to presenter Victoria Valentine, Noel said: “I sustained prolonged sexual abuse as a child and I had been running from that spectre all my life and I have met a few other people in a similar situation.

“I know this may be traumatising for some people watching this, but I think its critically important.
