But during the show a technical blunder plagued the sports report. Mike Bushell was bringing viewers up to date on everything from the sports world. He informed BBC Breakfast viewers that the Common Wealth games have been cancelled in a shock twist. For reaction and analysis he crossed live to Shaimaa Khalil who was in Melbourne, Australia. However, as she started speaking her microphone appeared to break which distorted her voice. Producers then cut back to the studio as Mike told viewers: "Yeah, apologies for technical problems there, this is a developing story and we will have more on that." BBC Breakfast were quick to spot the blunder and took to social media to react. One said: "Loving that a sound error turned the reporter's voice into Minnie Mouse during a live report." A second said: "Poor Mike seemed a bit lost with all that." Meanwhile, Sally was slammed for an 'amateur' blunder by fans as she was nervously left laughing.
