Bayern Munich’s next steps after £86m Harry Kane transfer bid rejected by Tottenham

Bayern Munich submitted an initial offer of £86million, plus add-ons, for Tottenham striker Harry Kane last Friday and demanded a response by midnight the same day

If Bayern Munich hadn’t realised before this summer that Daniel Levy was a tough negotiator, they certainly do now.

And the German giants are now weighing up their options after the latest blow to their pursuit of Tottenham striker Harry Kane. Having already had two previous bids rejected, an £86million offer was submitted on Friday, with the Bundesliga champions demanding a response by midnight.

But more than 60 hours later, the silence remained deafening from Spurs chairman Levy. And amid his desire to reel in at least £100million for the club’s record goalscorer, on Monday afternoon it was confirmed the offer had been turned down.

With Bayern just six days out from their DFL Supercup clash with RB Leipzig, they had previously stated that their latest Kane bid would be their third and final offer. But that pledge is now being put to the test, with The Telegraph reporting the club are weighing up their next move.
