Harry Kane’s future has finally been resolved after Bayern Munich announced the arrival of the England captain from Tottenham in a deal that could rise above £100million
Bayern Munich have estimated that Harry Kane will be worth his weight in gold as well as goals – thanks to massive sales of replica shirts.
As revealed by Sunday Mirror Sport last weekend, the England captain has completed a £95million move to the Bundesliga champions after Bayern shattered their club transfer record to meet Tottenham ‘s valuation. Bayern already reckon they will sell a million shirts with Kane’s name and number on the back – worth a cool £100million.
The Bavarian giants will not bank all of that cash, having entered into a long-term deal with sportswear manufacturers and major shareholders Adidas that nets them £52million-a-year. But their share of the increased profits could be worth around £30million – virtually paying Kane’s transfer fee within three seasons.
Bayern’s bean counters believe that Kane won’t just provide them with the firepower to win the Champions League, but will put them top of the table when it comes to flogging shirts. Bayern outstripped Manchester United and Real Madrid two years ago when they sold 3.25million shirts around the world – with prolific Polish striker Robert Lewandowski the top choice when fans added a name and number.
