 A film extra is suing Warner Bros after sustaining major injuries on the set of the axed Batgirl film in Glasgow. Cristina Stanovici, 35, was hit by a speeding motorbike carrying camera equipment while playing a bystander in late-night scenes filmed in the city centre for the DCEU movie. Stanovici, an engineer, has said it would have been 'easier if she had died' after facing multiple operations on her broken bones and injuries. She sustained a broken thigh, shin, hip, pelvis and thumb – as well as a head gash – in the collision. Stanovici, who is 5ft 1in tall, says she has been 'traumatised' by the ordeal, which also left her with a rod in her femur that runs from hip to knee, and is still in pain – with more operations in her future. She also claimed she almost died on the operating table after her five-hour femur surgery saw her require five blood transfusions, staying in hospital for nine days in total. 'The surgeon told me it was one of the worst cases he has seen in his eight years at the hospital.' Recalling the accident, Stanovici, who said she applied to be an extra 'to have a bit of fun' and see what making a movie involved, described how the production had a motorcycle 'with cameras on top of it that was filming'.
