Barcelona told chances of signing Man Utd ace Diogo Dalot as two de…

Manchester United have reportedly rebuffed Barcelona’s hopes of signing Diogo Dalot amid his central role in Erik ten Hag’s rebuild. The La Liga giants are plotting a January move for Dalot but face the arduous task of prizing him away from Old Trafford as he enjoys his best season at the club yet.Dalot has started all 16 of Ten Hag’s games in charge of United, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Brandon Williams have suffered early-season injury woes. He has cemented his spot as first-choice right back and was never going to be allowed to leave easily, especially midway through the campaign. And, according to Sport, it would be ‘practically impossible’ for Barcelona to recruit the 23-year-old in January after they enquired about his availability. Xavi Hernandez wants a minimum of two signings in the transfer window to bolster Barca’s title challenge, identifying right-back as a problem position.Sergio Roberto has primarily operated in the position this season, with centre-halves Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde deputising. But the report claims Xavi is keen to add a natural right-back to his squad, and Dalot seems to be at the top of the agenda.JUST IN: Martin Keown and Joe Cole lay into four Arsenal stars after PSV defeat Man Utd have rebuffed Barcelona’s approach for Diogo Dalot. The Portugal international has overcome injury issues in the last two years and started 24 games last season after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking spelt bad news for Wan-Bissaka.He’s been even more important this term and is repaying Ten Hag’s faith with some of the best form of his career.
