Barcelona still haven’t given up on one day bringing Lionel Messi back to the club. And, now, it’s emerged they have a major helping hand in the form of the Argentina international’s family. They feel the city is their home, despite spending the last year or so living in Paris, and that gives the La Liga giants reason to dream as they plot a blockbuster move at the end of the campaign.Barcelona were expected to renew Messi’s contract last summer. However, with the La Liga giants facing financial difficulties at the time, they had no choice but to let the veteran leave the Nou Camp on a free transfer.Messi then proceeded to join PSG and, since then, has flourished at the Parc des Princes alongside fellow superstars such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. However, Barcelona are hoping to bring the 35-year-old back to the Nou Camp when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.Messi is primed to become a free agent then, though PSG are still hopeful of tying their No 30 down to a new contract.Want the latest football news?
