The Underdark hosts some of the scariest enemies in the game and will push your party to its limit
Baldur’s Gate 3’s overworld is huge enough as is, but there’s also a subterranean realm to contend with, which is filled with some of the most brutal tasks you’ll face in the game.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Underdark entrances are scattered across Baldur’s Gate 3’s world. Despite how punishing the area can be, you’ll actually be able to come across it fairly early on in your adventure. You’ll need to venture here to complete the Finish the Masterwork weapon quest in Baldur’s Gate 3’s first Act of many.
There are four separate entrances to the Underdark across the entirety of Baldur’s Gate 3, and each of them will test your mettle, so you’ll want to wait until you’re at a bit of a higher level to head down there (anything below level 4 will probably result in you being swatted like a bug).
As we mentioned there are four Baldur’s Gate 3 Underdark entrances in total, so we’ll go through them in the order you’re most likely to happen upon them. The first one is beneath the Blighted Village, at the Whispering Depths . First off, you’re going to want to have the Feather Fall spell available. In the centre of the village sits a well so head into it and as you make your way down, you’ll run into Phase Spiders. You can try to fight them or just head past them into their nest where you’ll find a giant hole being circled by a giant Phase Spider Matriarch.
