Baker Mayfield makes confident claim about being man to replace Tom Brady

New Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and former No.1 draft pick Bayer Mayfield will be tasked with replacing NFL legend Tom Brady during the 2023 regular season

Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Baker Mayfield has expressed his confidence going into the 2023 NFL regular season.

Mayfield is getting ready for his sixth season in the NFL with his fourth franchise. This will be his first with the Bucs after signing for the NFC South franchise in March after leaving the Los Angeles Rams, having spent the first half of the season with the Carolina Panthers.

The 28-year-old was drafted with the No.1 overall pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2018. Mayfield spent four seasons in Ohio, before being traded in 2022 to the Panthers which would last a mere five months.

After a difficult season, Mayfield is now in Florida and is tasked with replacing Tom Brady as the starting QB for the Bucs. The NFL legend retired from professional football in February at the age of 45, after enjoying a two-decade-long career where he won seven Super Bowl rings.
