When an officer passed on the devastating news that the baby would be unlikely to survive from her injuries to Paulina Carmona-Simbron, she remained stone-faced and simply uttered: “Oh.”
A babysitter is accused of shaking a five-month-old girl so violently that she died within days.
Prosecutors in Utah have charged Paulina Carmona-Simbron, 47, with murder and if found guilty she faces life in prison.
Carmona-Simbron had only been working as a babysitter for around two months.
Reports said she had no formal training in daycare, nor was she licensed as a caregiver for children.
