Also absolutely no communication from the airport or BA staff'. A BA spokesperson said: 'We apologised to customers for the delay to their flight which was caused by the aircraft diverting to an alternative airport on its previous journey due to poor visibility. A British Airways flight was delayed due to a problem with a curtain dividing business class and economy.
The flight from Seville in Spain to London Gatwick was already late taking off due to fog and poor visibility, as the plane had to divert to a different airport on a previous journey.
When it finally arrived, passengers had to wait even longer due to the curtain problem and eventually they departed just over three hours late, at 1.45pm UK time when they had been due to leave at 10.30am.
People on board told how they were informed that there was a technical issue with the curtain, meaning they could not yet take off.
