AT LEAST five people have been injured after a huge explosion ripped through an apartment in the north of Paris.
Over a hundred firefighters were on the scene as smoke billowed in the air on Rue de Nord this afternoon at around 2.30pm.
The blast is reported to have torn through the top floor of a three-storey block in the capital.
The street has been condoned off as emergency services continue to survey the scene.
Images appear to show the facade of the building, that appears to have been blown off, strewn across the middle of the street.
