Assassins Creed Mirage release date sneaks forward placing it in front of a crowded October

Assassins Creed Mirage will now launch on October 5, 2023 making it the first big release of October

Ubisoft has announced that not only has Assassins Creed Mirage gone gold, but that it’ll be sneaking out a little earlier than anticipated.

Assassins Creed Mirage was set to release on October 12, 2023 – which placed it squarely between Forza Motorsport and Alan Wake 2 – however, Ubisoft clearly realised how packed mid-to-late October 2023 is set to be as it has announced that not only has it gone gold, but that the Assassins Creed Mirage release date is one week earlier than expected – October 5, 2023. This new date places it ahead of all of the October releases, which is helped even more by late-September being reasonably quiet outside of EA FC 24.

The newest entry in the series is set to take the series back to its roots with a Middle Eastern setting like the original title as well as stripping all of the bloat and RPG elements seen in the likes of Assassins Creed Valhalla. For those as worried about having the time to play Assassins Creed Mirage amongst the packed October 2023 schedule, you can sleep soundly knowing that the game apparently only takes around 20-30 hours to complete; that is according to lead producer Fabian Salomon during an interview with YouTuber Julien Chièze (translated by PCGamesN).

Mirror Gaming’s Aaron Potter had a chance to check out a Hands-off preview of Assassins Creed Mirage the game back in June and said “Assassin’s Creed Mirage scratches that classic series itch while respecting your time and placing you into a beautiful location” and that “old-school Assassin’s Creed players have lots to be excited about” – sounds promising.
