Ashley Judd has opened up on the physical effects grief had on her following the death of her mother, Naomi Judd.
Country singer Judd’s death was announced in April, with her daughters, singer Wynonna Judd and actress Ashley, stating that their mother died ‘to the disease of mental illness.’
It was later confirmed that the musician, who was 76-years-old at her time of death, died by suicide.
Detailing how the loss of her mother had consequences for her own health, Ashley, 54, revealed she fractured her leg due to grief-associated clumsiness.
Speaking to UCLA professor Dr. Jonathan Flint as part of an Open Mind lecture series, the Double Jeopardy star shared that she fractured her femoral condyle over the summer.
