EMOTIONAL Robbie Savage had the honour of announcing his son’s arrival on the pitch as Charlie Savage made his Manchester United debut.
Savage Jr, then 18, came off the bench for the final five minutes in the Champions League last December to become the latest boy wonder to fill the boots of his famous father.
“Coming on for Man Utd, Charlie Savage for Juan Mata…””Wow, I never believed I’d say those words, what a proud day!”A lovely moment as @RobbieSavage8 introduces his son for his Man Utd debut ❤️#UCL pic.twitter.com/4NLKC4BTgv
Savage Sr was on co-commentary duty and ‘started to tear up’ as he announced his son’s arrival – with Charlie making strides in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy this season.
Wayne Rooney’s son Kai also signed terms with United in 2020.
