Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are on the verge of signing West Ham captain Declan Rice and Ajax defender Jurrien Timber to take their summer spending beyond £200million

Arsenal’s busy transfer window shows no signs of slowing down!

England international Declan Rice is close to completing his £105million move from West Ham, while Jurrien Timber will be announced as an Arsenal player shortly. The Dutch defender has even been spotted saying goodbye to his Ajax team-mates.

The Gunners have already signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a £65m deal. “Kai is a player of top quality,” said Mikel Arteta.

In terms of departures, Granit Xhaka has joined Bayer Leverkusen in a £21.5m deal. Other players could leave the Emirates this summer – including Kieran Tierney, Nicolas Pepe, Nuno Tavares, Thomas Partey, Eddie Nketiah, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Folarin Balogun.
