Arsenal play Nottingham Forest in wrong kit

Arsenal opened their 2023/24 Premier League campaign against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon but there was a problem with their kit for the clash

Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest was hampered by the Gunners sporting the WRONG kit.

The North London side opened up their latest top-flight campaign at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon. An array of summer signings donned their new colours for the first time in a league game against Forest including Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.

There was just one problem – the fact that they were wearing the wrong kit. The Gunners’ new home shirt has already been recalled by manufacturers Adidas for an error. The new shirt was meant to commemorate the Gunners’ famous Invincibles side with stitching in the side. All of their fixtures as they went 38 games unbeaten during the 2003/04 campaign were meant to be visible.

However, some fans were quick to point out that a handful were missing. The last four matches of that historic season were said to have been left out including draws with Portsmouth and Birmingham, as well as a further two matches from earlier in the season.
