Arsenal chief Edu could still push for £40m transfer in final week of the window

Arsenal making a renewed push for Ajax star Mohammed Kudus should not be ruled out this summer, according to reports. The forward is desperate to head to the Premier League but a move has not materialised yet, despite Brighton and West Ham making significant pushes. Folarin Balogun to Chelsea in doubt as new quote kills two birds with one stone The Gunners conducted the majority of their transfer business early in the window, welcoming the arrivals of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber so that they could feature in pre-season. Further signings were anticipated, with David Raya signing from Brentford on a loan-to-buy deal, but outgoings were instead prioritised. With Albert Sambi Lokonga, Nuno Tavares and Kieran Tierney all edging closer to the exit of the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal could be tempted to dip back into the transfer market in what remains of the summer window. According to Fabrizio Romano, Ajax are anticipating offers from top clubs for Kudus towards the dying moments of the window and a move from Arsenal should not be ruled out. The Gunners called the Eredivisie outfit in June to register an interest and have also touched base with his entourage to sound out his situation.
