 Anthony Joshua has labelled Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou a 'nonsense' fight in a latest dig at his heavyweight rival. On Tuesday, it was confirmed the WBC champion will take on former UFC heavyweight king Ngannou in a non-title fight under boxing rules on 28 October in Saudi Arabia. While likely to be a hugely lucrative event, the fight has left many boxing purists underwhelmed having seen Fury fail to secure fights with Oleksandr Usyk and Joshua this year. 'The Gypsy King' has fought once in the last 15 months in a mismatch against Dereck Chisora, with calls for him to be stripped of his WBC belt growing in the wake of the Ngannou announcement. Fury's direct rivals are all in action in August with Joshua and Dillian Whyte meeting in a rematch on 12 August with Usyk defending his world titles against WBA mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois on 26 August. While Joshua insisted Fury's business decisions must be respected, he has questioned the logic in taking that fight instead of taking on IBF, WBA and WBO champion Usyk to crown an undisputed champion. Joshua told IFL TV: '[I have] three thoughts. 'One – I shouldn't give a f**k, it's none of my business. It has no business concerning me. It pays me no business. Talks for Fury vs Usyk collapsed earlier this year due to disagreements relating to the terms of a rematch.
