Gaby asked: "In Your Home Made Perfect a couple of weeks ago, we saw you dancing around the kitchen, so that could have been a little clue..." Angela said: "Oh yeah, well a little Easter egg, I've been kind of dropping them around. "That's where you grab your partner by the hand and swing them around at top speed." She laughed: "I'm not sure those kind of moves are generally encouraged in Strictly but we'll soon find out I guess." Angela joins Eddie Kadi , Amanda Abbington , Krishnan Guru-Murthy , Angela Rippon and Layton Williams in the 2023 line-up. Joking that she was terrible at keeping secrets, Angela explained: "I was ready to burst. I've only told 1,700 of my closest friends". She added: "I'm terrified, I'm excited and I have so many questions. Will they make me tan? "How itchy are sequins?! Do they do flesh coloured sports bras? Well - there's only one way to find out, right?" Asked which pro dancer she wanted to be paired with, the TV presenter - who also hosts a chat show in Ireland - said: "You know what, I think they're all unbelievable. "I think generally the producers get it right. I'm 5ft6in - it might narrow down the choices. I'll take whatever I get at this stage." Strictly fans gave her announcement a warm reception. One wrote: "My favourite so far. So pleased she is on it. She will be great and so entertaining."
