Flintoff sustained significant facial injuries as a result of the car accident which occurred last December while filming for Top Gear
Andrew Flintoff has been pictured in public for the first time since he was involved in a car crash while filming the BBC show Top Gear.
Flintoff, 45, sustained serious facial injuries and was airlifted to hospital when he was involved in a major crash on December 13 last year, when he was driving a Morgan Super 3 car at 130mph. It was was not equipped with air bags.
Flintoff will work with England throughout their one-day international series against New Zealand, which started in Cardiff on Friday. Nine months on, he retained visible scars on his face while wearing an England training outfit.
The former England and Lancashire all rounder will work as an unpaid consultant throughout the four-match one-day international series against New Zealand. At this stage his role is thought to be primarily observing, and he was seen out in the field before the start of play. There are currently no plans for him to be involved during the World Cup in India, which begins on October 5.
