 Thanks to a burst in followers throughout the summer, AriGameplays has overtaken Amouranth and broken into Twitch's top 20. Given how much money she makes from her various ventures, fan donations, and random investments, we wouldn't blame anyone for assuming Amouranth is the most popular female streamer on Twitch. Not only is that not the case (that title belongs to Pokimane), but she's now not even the second most popular female streamer. As of this month, Amouranth has been overtaken by Mexican streamer AriGameplays, who now boasts 6,481,897 Twitch followers, just beating out Amouranth's 6,410,074. AriGameplays isn't exactly a new face on the block, having been doing video game streams and vlogging since 2014, but she has enjoyed a notable uptick in followers over the summer. In the last month, her followership has grown by 292% according to TwitchTracker, while Amoraunth's has declined by 110%, which works out at around 4,442 followers lost. There's unlikely to be any one singular factor for these stat changes, but it is worth noting that Amouranth did recently make the jump to Kick, Twitch's new rival streaming service. She hasn't ditched Twitch entirely (she's streamed there as recently as this past Monday), but the decline could be attributed to some of her fans simply swapping over to becoming Kick followers. Amouranth is also a controversial figure for one reason or another, that could explain the loss in followers. She was most recently in the news for backing out of a boxing match although that was for the sake of her own health, having been diagnosed with late-stage ovarian failure. As for AriGameplays, her recent increase in followers also puts her among the 20 most popular Twitch streamers ever according to TwitchMetrics.
