All the new motoring rules coming in October – from ‘stealth law’ to driving in France

A raft of new motoring laws and rules have been introduced this year, some under the radar, and drivers should be aware of the changes being introduced now we’re into the autumn

There have been a raft of new motoring laws and rules introduced this year.

With autumn already upon us, British motorists should be aware of the changes being brought in. The coming weeks will see drivers at risk of increased fines in both the UK and abroad. The Highway Code – which provides information, advice, guides and mandatory rules for the road – is regularly tweaked and such changes can often go under the radar.
