Aldi to create 800 new jobs as it confirms locations of three new UK stores

Discount supermarket Aldi is opening new branches in towns and cities such as Oldham, Flitwick and Coventry – creating 800 jobs in the process between now and Christmas

Aldi is set to create more than 800 jobs in new stores across the UK between now and Christmas.

The discount supermarket is opening new branches in towns and cities such as Oldham, Flitwick and Coventry. Aldi starting pay for store assistants is £11.40 per hour nationally, and £12.85 per hour inside the M25.

The types of roles available will include managerial positions, caretakers and cleaners, as well as Store Apprentices. Aldi has over 990 stores and currently employs around 40,000 people.

Kelly Stokes, Recruitment Director at Aldi UK, said: “As we continue to invest in new stores, we’re looking for hundreds more colleagues to join our incredible teams across the country.
