A young woman has been arrested in connection to the massive brawl that broke out Saturday at the Montgomery Riverfront in Alabama and grabbed headlines around the world.
21-year-old Mary Todd reportedly turned herself in on Thursday and was charged with misdemeanour third-degree assault. She is being held at the Montgomery Municipal Jail, according to the Montgomery Police Department.
Todd’s arrest follows those of Allen Todd, 23, and Zachary Shipman, 25, on Wednesday and of Richard Roberts, 48, on Tuesday. They all turned themselves in. Todd and Shipman are both charged with third-degree assault while Roberts faces two counts of the same charge.
The melee, where sides broke down along racial lines, began Saturday evening when a moored pontoon boat blocked the Harriott II riverboat from docking in its designated space along the city’s riverfront.
