AL-ETTIFAQ have apologised to Liverpool fans for putting “E.F.C” on the back of Jordan Henderson’s shirt.
The former Reds captain, 33, penned a lucrative £700,000-a-week deal with the Saudi Pro League side last month.
He links up with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard – who was recently appointed head coach of the Middle East outfit.
Following Henderson’s arrival, Al-Ettifaq launched their new green kit with a picture of the midfielder in the No10 shirt and the abbreviation “E.F.C” above it.
This is the same initials as Liverpool’s bitter Merseyside rivals Everton.
