Ajax lost former boss Erik ten Hag to Manchester United this summer alongside key players Lisandro Martinez and Antony among a transfer window exodus from Amsterdam
Ajax boss Alfred Schreuder is still âfull of resentment’ for his predecessor Erik ten Hag after his summer exit from the club to join Manchester United.
It is claimed in Holland that Schreuder is still lamenting the club’s decision to sell its star players this summer â with two joining Ten Hag’s ranks at Old Trafford. Versatile central defender Lisandro Martinez and wide forward Antony both joined United in the summer transfer window.
They were among an exodus of players from the Eredivisie champions, as defender Noussair Mazraoui and midfielder Ryan Gravenberch joined Bayern Munich while Sebastian Haller, Andre Onana and Perr Schuurs also departed Amsterdam.
However, it were Martinez and Antony who were the two standout players for Ajax who departed over the summer and the two South Americans were viewed as the stars who were shaped and influenced by Ten Hag more than any others in the squad.
