 Former Hollyoaks star AJ Pritchard has revealed that he won't be continuing to develop his acting career. The Strictly star appeared in the show back in 2021 alongside his brother Curtis, who is known for his time ITV's Love Island and Dancing with the Stars. The brothers played Marco and Jacob in the soap and arrived to cause trouble for Trish Minniver (Denise Welch). AJ and Curtis' time on the show was somewhat criticised by fans and fellow famous faces, with a scene titled 'How's Trish?' going viral on social media because of the delivery of the dialogue from the siblings. Jacob and Marco departed the village a few months after their arrival and now, AJ has been speaking about how he's decided to look at other ways he can develop his career, rather than focus on acting. 'Hollyoaks were so happy with everything. That's all that matters', he told the Daily Star. 'I enjoyed it but I feel like acting isn't my forte. At the moment I want to focus on being fit, healthy and positive. The brothers played siblings on the show (Picture: Lime) He added: 'I'm working a bit more on YouTube, which is fun. It goes hand in hand with TV work. And I'm launching some new business later this year.' While AJ has said goodbye to the industry, last year Curtis admitted that filming Hollyoaks gave him a 'buzz' for acting. Curtis also confessed to enjoying the amount of press he received while on the soap, which has aired on Channel 4 since 1995, adding that he might well have increased the show's international audience. He previously told the Daily Star: 'Put it like this, I got more press than Hollyoaks has ever got, in more countries than even get Hollyoaks [on TV]. They were very happy.'
