THE first pictures from the return of hit BBC drama Vigil have been released.
They tease a tense new mission for fan-fan favourite detective Amy Silva and Kirsten Longacre.
Originally billed as a miniseries, Vigil is returning for a second season.
That probably has to do with the numbers as the first season gripped over 13 million viewers.
Season 1 was the UK’s most-watched new drama launch since Bodyguard in 2018. It also won the International Emmy and secured a BAFTA nomination for the Best Drama Series.
