Sharing photos of himself on Instagram standing in a field and wrapped up warmly in a multi-coloured jacket, the star said: "Overwhelmed by your kind messages, not had the chance to read them all yet but I assure you I will. "Yesterday I needed some headspace so I escaped to the country with my brother-in-law and his dog. It was a tonic. Xxo." Jonnie's followers loved his post with his Channel 4 co-star Danni Menzies replying with a heart emoji. Another fan told the presenter he was an inspiration, calling him "a brave, wonderful soul." Jonnie Irwin told fans he was overwhelmed by their support ( Instagram) Jonnie, who has also hosted Escape To The Country, decided to go public with his diagnosis in order to get the "monkey off my back". The star said he was filming in Italy in August 2020 when he experienced blurred vision while driving, which lead him to seek medical advice. In an emotional interview alongside his wife Jessica, Jonnie told Hello! magazine : "I don't know how long I have left, but I try to stay positive and my attitude is that I'm living with cancer, not dying from it. I set little markers – things I want to be around for.
