Martin Brundle hits out at Red Bull over Max Verstappen’s Sky Sports ban

The world champion accused the broadcaster and pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz of ‘disrespect’ during the Mexican Grand Prix

Martin Brundle rallied behind pit lane broadcast colleague Ted Kravitz as Sky Sports’ rift with world champion Max Verstappen continued to escalate.

The British driver-turned-commentator waded into the row after Verstappen said he was tired of being “constantly disrespected” and had “had enough”. Brundle responded by calling for “dialogue” after the Red Bull team took the unprecedented step of boycotting Sky following his victory in Mexico, with the world champions refusing to speak to the British Formula One broadcaster as well as their German and Italian colleagues.

“For the avoidance of doubt my friend and colleague for the past 26 years Ted Kravitz has my full support,” the former driver Brundle posted on Twitter.

“Face to face dialogue is the only way to sort out issues and disputes in the relentless crucible of the F1 paddock. We all have opinions and different jobs to do, that’s life.”
