People have been left unable to believe their eyes after seeing the state of a passenger’s ‘chewed up’ suitcase, with some saying it might have stayed in better condition had they simply thrown it off the plane
A man was left with a shredded suitcase following a recent flight, with the damage so extensive, some believe the case looks as though it had somehow ended up getting caught in the plane’s engine. A photo of the destroyed case was shared by the man’s indignant nephew, who clarified that most of the belongings inside remained thankfully undamaged.
The nephew was unable to confirm which airline his uncle had flown with, as he still needed to ask him, but a number of others came forward with similar stories, urging people to always make sure to take pics of their luggage beforehand.
Taking to Reddit, where he goes by the username u/an0nym0ose, the nephew wrote: “Nothing major got f***** up. He also he’s received a reimbursement form, so he’s only out the time it’ll take to shop for a new one before his return trip. The suitcase now joins the honored dead in the halls of luggage Valhalla.”
Judging by the state of the suitcase, it’s surprising the contents remained relatively intact. The pic shows huge, ragged tears had been ripped across the suitcase at some point during the journey, rendering it completely unusable.
