BBC to celebrate grime artist with series of candid specials on TV and radio

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

The BBC has announced a wave of specials on Stormzy, which will chart the grime artist’s stratospheric career.

A Stormzy Special will see the Vossi Bop performer sit down for a candid chat with 1Xtra and Radio 2 DJ Trevor Nelson, as well as perform a set from the iconic Abbey Road Studios.

In the 45-minute entertainment special, the Blinded By Your Grace rapper will also open up about making his third studio album, his extraordinary rise to fame, remarkable success and his growth both personally and professionally.

Trevor said: ‘I first interviewed Stormzy in 2014 for his debut Live Lounge at 1Xtra and I haven’t interviewed him since then. When I met him he was the hottest new MC in the UK and now he has become a cultural icon. I’m really looking forward to hosting this show and to being able to chat to him once again.’
