Stephen Vaughan has been announced as CEO while Darren Gough is permanent managing director of cricket
Yorkshire have appointed the outgoing chief executive of Wasps, Stephen Vaughan, as their new chief executive and announced Darren Gough as permanent managing director of cricket.
Vaughan, 47, is moving from one crisis-plagued club to another barely two weeks after the Premiership rugby side were plunged into administration.
He takes over Yorkshire at what is also arguably the lowest point in their history amid the on-going fallout from the racism scandal to engulf them.
Yorkshire identified the former Walsall Football Club player as the right man to take them forward following his two-and-a-half years as chief executive of Wasps, which saw him try to prevent the already debt-ridden club from going bust during the coronavirus crisis.
