The first calls to police warning of ‘dangerous’ and ‘chaotic’ scenes at a Halloween party in Seoul were made four hours before the crowd crush which left more than 150 people dead.
Transcripts of 11 calls to the police’s 112 emergency hotline give a chilling prediction of how the tragedy would unfold.
In the first, made at 6.34pm, a partygoer pleads: ‘It looks like you can get crushed to death. I barely managed to leave but there are too many people.’
They added: ‘I am so scared. There is nobody out here to control the situation.’
