Wasps head coach Lee Blackett is set to join Scarlets, possibly beginning his new job as early as next Monday. Wasps went into administration last month, with some 167 playing and coaching staff made redundant, and it appears that the struggling Welsh region have taken the opportunity to pursue Blackett in order to help under-fire head coach Dwayne Peel, the former Wales and British & Irish Lions scrum half.
Blackett may only be in Wales for this season if Wasps’ proposed takeover is successful and Wasps can satisfy all the requirements to compete in the Championship next season, but for now he could fill the hole left by the departure of Dai Flanagan in the summer to the Dragons and attempt to revive a side
