Monday’s episode of Emmerdale ended on a huge cliffhanger as a gunshot sounded across the Yorkshire Dales after Cain and Al were caught up in a vicious brawl. Viewers discovered Al was shot dead at the start of Tuesday’s episode and Cain was left in a state of shock before the police came looking for him. Chas, who has been cheating on her husband Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) with Al, had to try and mask her heartbreak when news broke of his death. However, she was later filmed sobbing away from her friends and family over her secret lover’s demise. The Emmerdale hard man was reluctant to answer any questions about being at the scene of the murder with a shotgun.
