Måneskin brand censorship over people’s bodies ‘stupid’ after VMAs backlash

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Måneskin have spoken out on the backlash surrounding the censorship of their performance at the 2022 MTV VMAs in August, calling it ‘sad’ and ‘very stupid’ that it’s something to which people’s bodies are still subjected.

The 2021 Eurovision winners took home the award for best alternative video for their viral hit I Wanna Be Your Slave on the night, and later hit the stage to perform their recent hit Supermodel.

Shirtless frontman Damiano David put on a cheeky display in a pair of black leather cut-out chaps, likely giving the audience far more of a view than they paid for at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Meanwhile, bassist Victoria De Angelis opted for a one-sleeve blouse with a pasty covering her exposed breast, but during the performance it slipped down and revealed her other nipple – with the musician carrying on with her performance, unperturbed.
